Windows and macOS Installation
Installing PowerScripts takes about a minute: download one small file and drop it onto Illustrator. There's no installer app and you don't need administrator rights. It works the same way on Windows and macOS, including Apple Silicon Macs.
Upgrading from PowerScripts 3.7? Your licence, scripts and settings carry over - nothing to deactivate or uninstall first. The installer turns the old PowerScripts panel off for you (you can turn it back on from the installer's Tools tab).
Install
Step 1: Download the installer
Go to license.o2creative.co.nz/install and click Download the easy installer. You'll get a file called PowerScripts Installer L… - drag onto Illustrator.jsx.
Step 2: Open it in Illustrator
Start Adobe Illustrator, then either drag the downloaded file onto the Illustrator window, or choose File > Scripts > Other Script… and select it.
Step 3: Allow it to run
If Illustrator asks whether to run the script, click Continue.
Step 4: Click Install
Choose your language if you like, then click Install and wait a few seconds while it installs.
Step 5: Restart Illustrator and open PowerScripts
Close and reopen Illustrator, then choose Window > Extensions > PowerScripts 2026 Loader. PowerScripts downloads its latest version the first time it opens, and keeps itself up to date after that.
We recommend docking the PowerScripts panel so it opens automatically every time you start Illustrator.
Step 6: See an empty PowerScripts panel? Close it
If you used PowerScripts 3.7 before, its panel may still be docked in your workspace. It's turned off now, so it stays empty. Close that panel (or drag it out and close it), then open the new one from Window > Extensions > PowerScripts 2026 Loader.

Register in Illustrator
New users register the first time PowerScripts opens. If you upgraded from PowerScripts 3.7 you're already registered.
Step 1: Accept the License Agreement
Step 2: Select your Language
You can change and edit your language in the preferences, including exporting it. We would love to hear from you with suggested changes to the translations to help improve PowerScripts.
Once installed, you can change the UI scale and letter spacing to better suit your language.
Step 3: Enter your registered email
Enter the email used to purchase the license. This must be the email you used when purchasing from the O2 Creative shop.
Step 4: Select Licence method
Select the method to enter your license
- Store Login - Using this method you can see ALL your purchased licenses, and select one to use, recommended if you purchased multiple different licenses
- Enter Serial Number - Use this method for a single purchase or if you only have a serial number or license key
Step 4a: Store Login
If you selected Store Login in step 4, enter your password for the store
Step 4b: Enter Serial Number
If you selected Enter Serial Number in step 4, enter your serial number OR license key, either will work.
New purchases are given a License Key, a long string of letters around 150 characters long. Copy and paste this into the box.
Step 5: Select your License
You will be shown a selection of licenses, scroll down and click “Use this License”
From this window, you can
- View all your licenses (If you logged in to the store)
- Link to the Store to manage your licenses online, such as moving scripts or deactivating computers.
- For each license
- See the license information
- See which purchases and scripts are assigned to them
- View which computers are activated on the license
Step 6: Name your computer
Enter a friendly name for your computer, this will show on your license, and make managing which computers are activated easier.
Step 7: Download the PowerScripts
The first time it runs, PowerScripts checks online and prompts you to download the latest scripts. Click the download button to install your PowerScripts, then restart Illustrator.
Step 8: Installation Complete
